American Bar Association Gavel Award
 My "Old Cars in Law"
column in Car Collector magazine was awarded a Certificate of Merit in the 1994 American
Bar Association Gavel Awards Competition.

monthly columns which appeared in Car collector magazine during 1993. Each column
discusses a legal issue of interest to readers, reporting on a recent court opinion or
ruling involving a collector car and offering general observations of the lesson conveyed.
Topics covered in 1993 included products liability, brokers' commissions, insurance
coverage, bailment, limitations of liability, recovery of attorneys' fees, title

Certificate of Merit recipient in the magazine (200,000 or less circulation)
classification of the 37th annual Gavel Awards Competition sponsored by the American Bar
Association; award presented to Car collector magazine.
Deposited in the Tarlton Law Library by the American Bar Association as part of a
multimedia collection, the Gavel Awards Archive, and shelved in the library's Gavel Room.
